1.1.4.2. Enable and disable users

A disabled user can neither register at any portal nor enable his account. This makes sense with mass downloaders for example. After the disabling they cannot create a new account anymore with the same name and email address.

Regard the difference between Enable / Disable and Activate / Deactivate.

A deactivated user cannot register at a portal, but can enable his account with an activation mail or an activation code again.

The lock applies for all portals!

In order to disable and enable do the following:

  1. Optionally you can filter before.

    You can find detailed information on this under Section 1.1.3, “Find users”.

  2. In the table, activate one or several users.

  3. Click on the Enable users or Disable users action.

    -> The same-named page opens with a respective message.

  4. Click on the Enable or Disable button.

    -> The action is performed.

  5. A respective message is displayed.
