1.1.4.10.2. Set portal lock for a specific user

In order to set a (new) portal lock, proceed as follows:

  1. Under User management click on Manage users.

    -> You reach the same-named page.

  2. Optionally you can filter before.

    Detailed information on filtering can be found under Section 1.1.3, “Find users”.

  3. In the user table, in the desired user row, in the Actions column click on the Portal locks action.

    -> The Manage portal locks page opens.

    [Note]Note

    Already existing portal locks of the respective user are displayed in the Portal locks section, in the table.

    Meaning of the single columns

    • Portal: Locked portal

    • Locked by: User who has set the portal lock

    • Reason: Reason for the portal lock (e.g. competitor or mass downloader)

    • Actions: Clicking on Delete the respective portal lock is removed.

    Actions (above the table):

    • Create portal lock

      1. Click on Create portal lock.

        -> The dialog Create portal locks is opened.

        In the User information section, the concerned user is displayed.

      2. In the Portal lock information section, in the Portal list field, select the desired portal.

        In the Reason input field, insert a reason for the portal lock (e.g. mass downloader or competitor).

      3. When all entries are done, then click on Create.

      4. If the action was successful, then a respective message is displayed.

    • Delete portal locks:

      Select the checkbox(es) at the portal lock(s) to remove and then click on Delete portal locks.

      -> You are prompted to confirm the action.

      If you really want to delete the portal locks, then click on Delete.
